Fisioterapia e Promoção da Saúde: temas em revisão
Synopsis
This work was built by several hands, during the teaching-learning activities together with the discipline Physiotherapy, Physical Activity and Health Promotion, of the Master's Program in Physiotherapy at UFPB, whose main objective is to study the concepts and promotion strategies health, with the enhancement of physical activity, aiming at functional capacity and quality of life and its applicability in different life cycles. Furthermore, it proposes to support and expand the scientific production of teachers, students and researchers in Physiotherapy. The present book is configured as an integrative review of national and international scientific literature, which allows the construction of a broad analysis of data on topics of interest to the researcher, thus providing contributions to discussions on the methods applied and results obtained in the studies, as well as reflections on future research. They were covered in the seven Chapters through a wide bibliographic review, whose themes are presented as follows: Physiotherapeutic Practices in Health Education in Primary Care; Pilates Method and Quality of Life in Diabetic Elderly and in Women with Fibromyalgia; Motor Activity in Institutionalized Elderly. We also investigated the importance of Active and Sedentary Lifestyles mainly in Chronic Low Back Pain and also discussed Health Promotion Strategies for Workers with Burnout Syndrome. Finally, it ended with an approach on Technological Innovation in Health, considering that the use of technologies for health are of frequent ascendancy in a global perspective, both technologies classified as light, light-hard and hard, in this case, focusing on chronic diseases non-communicable diseases (CNCD), and more specifically, in Diabetes Mellitus.
