SIMULATION-DISSIMULATION OF SYMPTOMS IN FOCUS: um desafio para a ciência contemporânea

The book “Simulation-Dissimulation of Symptoms in Focus” is a technical-scientific production on a problem of great interest to Psychology and especially, to apply the knowledge of this science to the Legal and Social Security contexts. The theme of simulation and concealment of symptoms, although very old, is little explored by psychological science although, in contemporary times, Psychology can contribute significantly to the psychological evaluation of simulators, due to the secondary gain or reward behind certain behaviors . It is hoped, therefore, that this book can expand technical and scientific knowledge about simulation and help psychologists to understand the problem and their professional practices in the forensic clinical context.
