Expansão Urbana: despossessão, conflitos, diversidade na produção e consumo do espaço
Synopsis
The book presents different conceptions about the urban expansion process, based on research that deals with the recent production of cities in different contexts and scales, with regional diversity in Brazil, Mexico and Portugal, with broader cases or experiences, of metropolises, medium and small cities. The texts, in general, derive from results of research financed by development institutes, such as the the Research Support Foundation of the State Paraíba (FAPESQ), with the research Contemporary Urbanization: Restructuring and Socio-spatial Inequalities - Edital Pronex; the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), through specific calls for tenders and scholarship resources: doctorate and research productivity (PQ); the Research Support Foundation of the State of Rio de Janeiro (FAPERJ) and the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES).
