Synopsis

This book is a collection of detailed works from the presentation of the strictu sensu formation trajectory of the teachers of the Occupational Therapy course of the Federal University of Paraíba, as well as their performance in extension projects and research in the multiple perspectives of this profession. There are clippings of doctoral researches that involve the own knowledge of Occupational Therapy and also of its interlocution with several other areas of knowledge, such as: linguistics, physical education, special education, as well as, in aspects that permeate the daily life of professional practice, such as the development processes from childhood to old age, assistive technology, mental health, illness and public policies. There is also room for self-reflection through the validation of protocols that investigate pathologies linked to work processes, but which can be expanded to study processes. The main axis is part of the knowledge that has been produced by the teachers of the Occupational Therapy Course of the UFPB during these first ten years in Paraíba, considering the impact generated by its implementation in the institution itself, as well as at local, state and national levels.
