Synopsis

In the current context in which we live, we know very well the great concern we have when it comes to individuals with the HIV virus and the enormous prejudice that is labeled on them. The work then deals with the (im) possible affective-sexual relationships that exist with the emergence of the serodiscordant couple. The book is based on the qualitative results of a survey carried out by Grupessc - Group for the Study of Health, Society and Culture - at the Federal University of Paraíba. This type of approach still suffers great prejudice making the theme of the book increasingly important and unique, where the most diverse possibilities of coexistence of serodiscordant couples are discussed. The present socio-anthropological study draws attention due to the cultural and social context in which it is inserted, because in order to create these possibilities of coexistence, it is necessary to engage public policies to favor and provide conditions for couples participating in this therapy. Based on this reflection, the work portrays an interesting reality that is increasingly becoming an important focus in scientific studies.
